I am Becca Merrison, Professional Organiser and Declutterer

My name is Rebecca (Becca) Merrison and I have always enjoyed organising.  From an early age, I had always wanted order in my life and have found that if I know where everything is, I have more time to do the things I enjoy.

I worked in the events industry for over twenty years organising all sorts of events. When I became a working mother it become apparent how important it was for me to have organised systems at home so that I didn’t arrive at work completely stressed before the day had even really begun.

Some of my friends and family started to ask me how I was so organised and how I kept on top of everything.  Some were moving house and asked me to help them sort through their “stuff” so they weren’t taking unnecessary clutter with them.  Others were running their own business whilst managing life at home and wanted help organising a system to keep the two separated.  Others were just busy working families who had little spare time to keep their homes clutter-free.    I stumbled across the APDO website and realised that such a thing as a professional decluttered existed. It dawned on me that perhaps this was something that I could do professionally as after all, it’s what I love doing!
